This beautiful tomb was built in the memory of the great Sufi saint Abd-ur-Rahim, who was affectionately known as Sheikh Chilli. He was a highly revered spiritual teacher and the master of the Mughal Prince Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Emperor Shah Jahan.
The architecture of the tomb is deeply influenced by Persian designs.
